New Basement

So, while we were in Colorado, our basement was being refinished. This was strange for us, as we have never hired someone to refinish anything in our house - we've done it ourselves or with the help of family or friends. Although it was quite expensive, it was worth it. It wasn't work that we'd have been able to do easily or very well ourselves.

Very few people have seen our basement, as it was SO disgustingly gross! The sad thing about that is that very few know just how wonderful it is now. The cement and such weren't completely finished until just yesterday. Although it looks great, there is still much work to be done - ceiling, paint, storage shelves, etc., before we get to use it. Thankfully, the worst is finished, YAY! Here are a few before and after photos:
