YAY! We went camping last week, and had a nice time...
Zoe still loves to play in the water. She had quite the fun time in the creek at our campsite.
Here's our spot - at the end of the road, and about a half hour from the main road. It was a very nice, private place, and it was beautiful! The only down side was the mosquitos - tons of them!
And Zoe found this stick as we were walking. It became her "kid" for the trip. Actually, it came home with us too, haha! She even had to lay it down for bed in the trees every night. She really likes to play "Mommy".
We hiked up to 4th of July Lake, and Zoe once again rode in the backpack with Daddy. We thought she might like to walk a little, but she didn't walk at all on the hike. One of these days she's gonna be too big to ride in that pack!
As we reached the lake, it began to storm. It rained and the wind blew hard. We did our best to shelter Zoe. She didn't think she could handle it, but we made it. The storm blew through quite quickly. Unfortunately, the wind stayed after the storm went through, and since we didn't bring warmer clothing with us, we decided to head back down shortly after the storm passed.
After a long drive (Zoe fell asleep, so we drove longer to let her get a nap in), we headed to Red Fish Lake so that we could play a little in the water.
Of course, another storm blew in, so we were only there about 5 minutes before the rain came. Oh well, it was fun for a bit!And here's Zoe's favorite thing about this trip - sleeping in the camper, "It's fun!"
