Yes, We're Still Here!

Hi! I know it's been quite a while. Being a mommy of two, with one in a school schedule and another with her own full schedule of eating and napping, sure makes life busy! We have had a great last few months. We visited Corey's side of the family over Thanksgiving (a quick yet delightful trip), and we had a very busy December as most do. I let the months slip by before realizing how much I had to do to get gifts ready for Christmas, so I spent a lot of time in December enjoying the making of those gifts. It did however mean that I was not going to have time to get Christmas cards out, so I'm sorry everyone for that!

Well, now here I've been trying for a week or so to post a video of Mattie walking! She had been taking a few steps here and there for the last few months, but she really got going the day after Christmas while Staci, Brian, and their kiddos were here. I think it's probably because she saw all the kiddos running around on Christmas and all day the day after as well. She is walking all over, around and around at home...and into everything. She has also grown so much! She is wearing most of the clothes and shoes that Zoe was wearing at 18 months. And can you believe her first birthday is only 6 weeks away? My, time is going so very quickly . . . and I have found after publishing my post that the video DOES play - yay - ENJOY ;0)



Zoe is doing great as well. She is reading everything around her and doing it well. She loves school. She still loves her sister dearly and is quite the little mamma to her. Her teacher says that is part of her personality at school as well - mothering and caring for the others. AND, while Mattie is getting new teeth (four and counting as of now), Zoe has lost two teeth! She lost one the Sunday before Christmas and the next on Christmas day, thanks to Jerica and her floss trick :0)

We are looking forward to all God has in store for us this new year. We desire to grow closer to our Savior and to each other. May the Lord be your center, and may he be your delight in this new year!
